VIDEO: There’s a storm brewing over the West Coast right now, but for the past two weeks Summit has been more or less dry. That has Z Griff thinking about one thing: road trip. Before he heads out later this month for a journey across the region he looks back at last season’s road trip, a trek to the Midwest for urban riding with the Nightmare crew.

Summit Daily field report: It is a calm, warm, cloud covered morning with precipitation in the air. The snow is in good shape and we have more cold coming.
Weather: High 24, low 10. Overcast.
Lift lines: Not horrible but there are groups in town.
Breakdown: The snowstorm is starting up. I woke to a trace of snow and cloudcover and we could see 1-2 inches today, with a similar forecast for the next few days.
