On The Hill: Surf’s up for snowy birthday laps on Peak 7 (video)

On The Hill is brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute.

VIDEO: What happens when you live in Summit County and it snows on your birthday? You and your closest friends grab leis, pina coladas and skis for a few snowy laps on Peak 7. The clouds yesterday brought about 5 inches of fresh to Breckenridge and the clouds are looking ready to roll in again. Happy b-day Mackenzie!

Snow report: 5″, 1″, 6″

Summit Daily field report: It’s a pretty day out with about 5 inches of new fresh spread across the mountain. It’s not a solid 5 inches, but as usual at Breck you’ll get lucky if you track down the windloaded areas.

Weather: High 27, low 7. Cloudy.

Lift lines: College week is just about over but it’s still a Friday. Expect a little wait at the base areas.

Breakdown: It was both sunny and cludy this morning but now the clouds are getting thicker. We could see a bit more snow later this afternoon.
