On the Hill video report: Powder keeps coming at Copper Mountain

On the Hill, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report showcasing Summit County’s ski conditions Wednesday through Sunday.

Copper Mountain Resort: Copper is reporting 4 inches of new snow to this morning, and 14 new inches of snow over the past week. There will be racing on Oh No Bowl and Rosi’s all week. Because of this Oh No, Rosi’s, Treble Cliff, Formidable, Black Bear Glade, and Free Fall Glade will be closed. Formidable, Black Bear Glade, and Free Fall Glade will open after racing is complete each day. Upper Oh No is open to Far East, Too Much, and Triple Treat so you may access Alpine lift.

Summit field report: Easily 4 plus fresh inches and counting. Powder stashes a plenty. Expect some terrain to open later in the day.

Weather: Around 28 degrees at 9 a.m.

Liftline status: Minimal line at 9 a.m.

Run of the day: Cache Glade

Breakdown: Copper is running all 23 lifts. Back Bowls expected to open after morning avalanche mitigation work.

Snowcast: NOAA is calling for a snow with areas of blowing snow and a high near 27. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 17 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
