QSC wraps with Calcutta event

Quantum Sports Club wraps up its race season April 18 and 19 with the Spring Fling dinner and Calcutta ski race fundraising event.

The dinner begins at 6 p.m. April 18 at Beaver Run Resort and is $20, including silent and live auctions. Skiers and teams for the following day’s races will also be auctioned off and will consist of Quantum racers, many of whom have finished on the podium in recent races against U.S. Ski Team athletes. The individual with the highest bid becomes the owner of the skier or team up for auction.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to put together teams for the races, which are April 19 at Breckenridge. Families, businesses and individuals are all encouraged to register. Grudge matches will be held for individuals wanting to go head-to-head against a friend or family member for $5, or $20 including the post-race barbecue. Cash prizes will be awarded to the owner of the top three individuals or teams.

The all-inclusive cost for the dinner, races and post-race barbecue is $35. For tickets or more information, contact the Quantum Sports Club office at (970) 547-9099, or visit http://www.quantumsportsclub.com. The deadline to purchase tickets is April 14.
