While the ski season is still roaring on at Arapahoe Basin and Loveland Ski Area, just down the road in Silverthorne, things are looking a lot more like summer.

The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks will open for the 2010 season Friday.

Ranked among the best Colorado courses in a number of industry periodicals – including Golfweek, Golf World and GOLF Magazine – the Raven is offering early season rates ranging between $40 and $70.

A round normally costs around $125 and $165.

The fee includes an 18-hole round, golf cart with GPS, range balls and commemorative playbooks.

The course is a par-72 layout designed by Tom Lehman and Hurdzan/Fry design group. From the back tees, the Raven stretches to 7,413 yards with a rating of 74.2.

The Raven is the first golf course in Summit County to open for the 2010 season. According to their respective websites, the county’s other four courses are scheduled to open as follows: Keystone River Course on May 21; Breckenridge Golf Club on May 22; Keystone Ranch Course on June 4; and Copper Creek Golf Course on June 22.

For reservations or more information on the Raven and its amenities, call (970) 262-3636.

The course is located off Highway 9 near Silverthorne Elementary School.
