Summit Tigers home schedule
Oct. 23 — Football vs. Glenwood Springs, 7 p.m.
CHALK CREEK STAMPEDE — SUMMIT HS MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM
The fourth event of the fall Colorado High School Cycling League mountain bike series, held Oct. 10-11 at McMurry Land and Livestock Ranch outside of Nathrop. Nearly 750 riders from across Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico came for two days of racing, split between the north and south conferences. Summit High has led the Division II North conference since the first event of the season in Frisco. The final race of the season is the state championships at the Haymaker course in Eagle on Oct. 25. RIFLE INVITATIONAL — SUMMIT HS CROSS-COUNTRY
The seventh event of the regular cross-country season, held outside of Rifle High School on Oct. 15. The meet drew eight girls teams (121 runners) and 13 boys teams (146 runners). On Oct. 23, the Summit High boys and girls teams head to Delta for the 4A Western Slope meet. This is the final opportunity for runners to qualify for the state championships in late October. SUMMIT VS. GLENWOOD SPRINGS — SUMMIT HS VOLLEYBALL
The 10th match of the regular volleyball season, hosted by Glenwood Springs at home on Oct. 13. The four-set win gave the Summit High varsity team a 7-7 overall (including an early tournament) and a 5-5 record in the 4A Western Slope.

SUMMIT VS. EAGLE VALLEY – SUMMIT HS VOLLEYBALL
The 11th match of the regular volleyball season, hosted by Eagle Valley at home on Oct. 17. The three-set loss gave the Summit varsity team a 7-8 overall (including an early tournament) and a 5-6 record in the 4A Western Slope.

SUMMIT VS. GRAND JUNCTION CENTRAL — SUMMIT HS FOOTBALL
The seventh game of the regular football season, held in Grand Junction on Oct. 16. The Tigers lost 6-48 and are now 1-6 overall this season, with a 0-4 record in the 4A Western Slope.
BRECK BUCKS VS. PIKES PEAK MINERS
The second home stand of the regular Breckenridge Bucks junior hockey season, held at Stephen C. West Ice Arena on Oct. 16-17. Both games drew a healthy crowd for the first home win of the season against the Pikes Peak Miners, one of eight teams in Bucks’ league. The Bucks are now 3-3 overall.
