RIFLE INVITE — TIGERS TRACK AND FIELD, MARCH 18

The first track meet of the regular season, hosted by Rifle High School in Rifle on March 18. The event drew 24 schools and more than 300 athletes from across the Western Slope and Rocky Mountain regions.

An away girl’s varsity soccer game against cross-county rivals Battle Mountain, hosted in Edwards on March 18. The Lady Tigers lost 0-7 to go 0-4 overall and 0-4 in the 4A Western Slope.

SUMMIT VS. EAGLE VALLEY — TIGERS BASEBALL, MARCH 19

The first double-header of the regular baseball season, played against conference rivals Eagle Valley in Gypsum on March 19. The Tigers lost the first game 8-9 and the second game 4-10, both in nine innings. Turner McDonald and Blake Olson led the Tigers offense with three hits each between the two games. The Tigers are now 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in the 4A Western Slope.
