SUMMIT vs. WOODLAND PARK — SUMMIT HS FOOTBALL
The third game of the regular season, a non-conference match held Sept. 18 at Woodland Park High School outside of Colorado Springs. The Tigers lost 6-34 to give the varsity team a 1-2 record for the season.

EAGLE VALLEY XC INVITATIONAL — SUMMIT HS CROSS-COUNTRY
The fourth event of the season, hosted by Eagle Valley High School and held Sept. 19 on a warm, sunny day at the Gypsum Creek Golf Course. The event drew 15 Western Slope teams and nearly 400 total runners between girl’s and boy’s teams. For complete results, see co.milesplit.com.

SUMMIT vs. GLENWOOD SPRINGS — SUMMIT HS VOLLEYBALL
The third league game of the season, held Sept. 19 at Summit High School. The Tigers varsity team won in three sets to 2-1 in regular-season play (4-3 overall with non-league Machbeuf Tournament).

SUMMIT RUGBY — SUMMIT MIDDLE SCHOOL and PEAK SCHOOL TEAM
The Summit Rugby girl’s middle school team played its first two games of the 2015 fall season the weekend of Sept. 19-20 at Infinity Park in Denver. The team, coached by Summit County Sheriff Bill Minor, went 1-1 with several players making their rugby debut. Summit lost to the Glendale Raptors 15-25 in the first game and beat the Northside Youth Rugby Club 25-15 in the second game.
