Rockies-Mets postponed

NEW YORK – The scheduled game between the Colorado Rockies and New York Mets has been postponed because of rain.

Wednesday night’s game will be made up as part of a day-night doubleheader on Thursday, with the opener starting at 12:10 p.m. and the nightcap at 7:10 p.m.

Johan Santana had been set to start Wednesday night for the Mets, riding a four-game winning streak. Right-hander Jason Hammel was supposed to pitch for the Rockies, who are a half-game behind NL wild-card leader San Francisco.
