Security increased at Bolder Boulder after Boston
BOULDER — Security is being increased at the Bolder Boulder, including bag checks at Folsom Field, following the Boston Marathon bombings.
Race organizers and police announced the new measures Tuesday and are asking spectators to avoid bringing bags to the Memorial Day race.
They warn that any unattended bags will be confiscated. People watching the end of the race in Folsom Field will only be able to bring in small purses and backpacks. Those bags will all be searched, just as they are before University of Colorado football games.
The Bolder Boulder is Colorado’s largest 10K race and has drawn more than 54,000 participants in recent years.
