SMC series to continue at Copper

COPPER MOUNTAIN – The Summit Mountain Challenge mountain bike race series continues Wednesday with race. No. 5 at Copper Mountain.

The race will consist of climbing and descending laps on service road, the Boondoggle singletrack and the new Elk Alley singletrack. Some junior categories will ride a shorter lap, but all adult categories will complete at least one 6.5-mile lap. Expert and pro men will do three laps, beginner and sport two, sport women will ride two laps, and beginner women will ride one.

The race will begin on the service road adjacent to the American Eagle chairlift, and the post-race party will take place at Endo’s Adrenaline Cafe in Copper Village across from the lift.



Parking is available at the Chapel Lot near Copper Village. Racing begins at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Maps and registration are available at A Racer’s Edge in Breckenridge until 6. Registration is $15 through today or $20 on-site before the race. For more information, visit http://www.mavsports.com.
