It was another podium-filled weekend for some of the county’s top youth mogul skiers.

With an open moguls competition Saturday and Sunday on a powdery course in Vail, Team Breckenridge had a slew of top-10 finishes.

On the girls’ side, Kaitlyn Harrel continued her

season-long dominance in the J4 class, winning both competitions over the weekend. She also finished fifth overall on Sunday.

Lindsay Eckhoff was second in J4, and Alisha Scheifley won the J2 division, throwing her first-ever 260 in competition.

Dylan Walczyk had yet-another top-three finish on the boys’ side. Walczyk used an impressive aerial display to wind up second overall in the competition to Steamboat’s Ryan Dyer. He won the J2 category.

Summit’s Colin Lang was fourth in the J2 category.

Bruce Perry, Jr., was third in the J3 competition to a pair of Winter Park skiers. Perry, Jr., who finished last season ranked second nationally in his category, has made the podium in every event this season.

Also in J3 on Saturday, Bryce Sawhney was 11th, Gabe Johnson was 13th and Zach Kwiecien was 14th. Alex DeBonville was 13th Sunday.

J1 skier Sean Scanlan finished in the top-20 overall Sunday and was seventh in his category.

The team also had a number of skiers competing in a single moguls competition in the Development Series over the weekend at Winter Park.

Breck’s Shauna Welsh made her first-ever podium with a second-place finish in J2. Teammate Gwen Bassett was 10th in J4.
