Team Breckenridge competing in Jr. Olympics in Vail

With one event remaining in the Junior Olympic competition in Vail this week, some Team Breckenridge Sports Club alpine skiers have had some impressive showings in the super-G, downhill and giant slalom thus far.

With more than 160 athletes representing 33 different teams, Team Breck has had three top-10 finishes.

Katie Harris was eighth in super-G, while Nick Bailey and Kaitlyn Sockett finished ninth and seventh, respectively in the downhill.



Also competing in super-G were Rick Lawler (28th), Drew Lazar (32nd), Patrick Gruber (39), Michael Stanley (40th) and Alec Girten (58th).

In GS, Harris was 17th and Sockett was 21st.



Some other impressive downhill finishes went to Gruber (39th), Lazar (55th) and Stanley (63rd).

The event continues today with a slalom race at Beaver Creek – the final race of the Junior Olympics.
