Despite some timely hitting and a strong performance from Tucker Limbruner, the Summit High baseball team lost 14-4 Tuesday at Buena Vista High School.

Limbruner led the Tigers going 2-for-2 at the plate, including a double. Nick Berry also chipped in a 2-run single, while Cody Holland, Blaze Walker and Jason Looby each had a hit.

Head coach Tom Looby said his team’s outfield play has improved significantly over the past few games, with Michael Leopold, Tyler Nelson and John Mellot all making stand-out pays.

Summit’s game against Englewood on Wednesday was postponed due to weather, so the Tigers do not play again until after spring break when they take on Jeffco League foe Wheat Ridge High School on April 20.
