Tigers gymnasts finish in third

CHATFIELD – Summit High School gymnastics finished third in a tightly contested quadrangular Thursday in Chatfield.

Only eight points separated Chatfield, Lakewood and Summit.

In the vault, the Tigers were led by Kelly Scholl’s 8.3, while Amelia Meier took fourth overall in the bars with an 8.35.

On the beam, Kira Breitholtz landed an 8.475, while Bouvier took third overall in on the floor with an 8.65.

Bouvier also took sixth overall.

Saturday’s set

FRISCO – The Tigers cross country team gets to run at home. Summit will try to play bad hosts and win its invitational, set for 10 a.m. today at the Frisco Nordic Center. At the same time, Summit gymnasts has a home meet at the high school.

Softball, meanwhile, travels to Evergreen for an 11 a.m. start.
