U.S. Ski Championships cross the country, from Maine to Alaska

PARK CITY, Utah – The 2004 U.S. ski championships will range from Maine to Alaska with a stop in Vail, the U.S. Ski Team announced Monday.

U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association vice president of events Annette Royle said the lineup of title events in alpine, freestyle, disabled and Nordic skiing will help the events become truly national.

The 2004 schedule:



– Jan. 3-11, cross country at Black Mountain in Rumford, Maine;

– March 1-7, disabled alpine at Vail;



– March 16-23, alpine at Alyeska resort in Alaska;

– March 20-21, jumping and Nordic combined at Steamboat Springs;

– March 26-28, freestyle at Heavenly Lake Tahoe.

All U.S. championships will be televised on ESPN.
