The International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association (IFSA), Team Summit Colorado (TSC), and Breckenridge Ski Resort partner up to host the 2015 IFSA U12 Junior Freeride Championships at Breckenridge this week.

During the first week of April, young IFSA freeriders headed to Breck to take advantage of some of the best spring conditions in the American West. The event included four divisions: U12 skiing and snowboarding for guys and gals.

“Breckenridge Resort is thrilled to partner with Team Summit Colorado to put on this national level event,” said Breckenridge’s competition director Dave Little in a written statement. “With the north-facing aspect of the Peak 6 terrain, it is still mid-winter conditions where the competition will be held.”

Team Breckenridge Sports Club had one athlete competing and Team Summit Colorado had three.

Skiers from California, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Utah were on hand to take their turn at the challenging terrain on Breck’s Peak 6.
