Gay Basin, a Pride event held at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, is usually held in May, acting as a kickoff to Pride Month through parades, DJ sets, skiing and more.
But this year’s low snowpack left A-Basin’s snow substandard by late spring, so the resort decided to change gears.
The first-ever summertime Gay Basin will be hosted Sunday, Aug. 2, with a new weather-appropriate schedule.
The event will feature a drag brunch, DJ sets by Don Fuego and Meangirl and opportunities to hike, bike, run and dress up.
While brunch reservations cost $45, other activities throughout the day are free or discounted from their normal price.
