Colorado Mountain College’s 2024 fall semester kicks off Aug. 26 in Summit County and the college is expanding one of its oldest offerings: the culinary program.

The culinary program has had a 30-year-run and, in the past, culinary students headquartered out of the college’s Breckenridge campus and worked and learned almost exclusively at Keystone restaurants. This semester, students have the opportunity to work with a variety of restaurants in Summit County.

According to the college, this expands the training opportunities students can choose from.

Students who want to learn about high-end cooking can intern at one of the area’s fine dining establishments while others who are interested in owning and operating a food truck can get first hand experience with that.

Students can earn paychecks at area restaurants while they learn and have the chance to qualify for housing at student apartments adjacent to the Breckenridge campus.
