The town of Frisco announced it is installing two new sand volleyball courts at the Frisco Bay Marina and starting new recreational volleyball leagues.

A town news release stated the courts will open and the leagues will start in June. The leagues will play four-on-four sand volleyball, and there will be a co-ed and a women’s league. The courts, as well as volleyballs, will also be available for rent when the league is not using the space. When the courts are not being rented or used for league play, the public may use them.

The league is recreational, the release stated, and games will be self-officiated. The leagues will be open to those ages 18 and older, with the co-ed league playing Tuesday evenings and the women’s league Wednesday evenings. There will be early summer and late summer seasons, running from June 2 to July 22 and July 28 to Sept. 16, respectively.

Team captains can register for one or both seasons, with the cost per team being $320 each season. Registrations are due by May 29 and July 12, respectively, for the early and late seasons.
