Lisa J. Tousey, a wonderful wife, mother, friend, and pillar of the Frisco community, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado at 65 years old.
Born on March 4, 1960, in Malone, New York, Lisa was the daughter of Thomas and Helen Higgins. Lisa was raised in Camillus, New York, where she graduated from West Genesee High School before earning her Bachelor’s Degree from Delhi University.
In May 1991, Lisa married the love of her life, George Tousey, in Richmond, Virginia. That fall, they moved to Summit County and eventually settled in Frisco in 1993, where they raised their two sons, Geordie and Garrett.
Together, Lisa and George became fixtures of the local business scene. Their partnership extended beyond their personal lives, as they owned and operated the B-Lift Pub, Farley’s Chop House, Deli Belly’s 2, and Hit This Batting Cages. Lisa’s unwavering work ethic and dedication will remain a part of Deli Belly’s and The Breakfast Deli to this day.
Beyond her business acumen, Lisa was a self-taught General Contractor for their properties and found joy in cooking for her family and friends. Her greatest love was for her family, and once she set eyes on someone, they were never strangers. Her generosity and hospitality made everyone feel welcome and at home.
Lisa embraced life with boundless enthusiasm, particularly through her love to travel while finding peace and adventure in places like Cat Island, Anna Maria Island, New Orleans, Bermuda, Scotland, and the shores of Maine. Her love for sports was equally profound, especially cheering for her New York Giants and Mets, and occasionally for George’s beloved Red Sox. For those who knew Lisa, she loved her concerts and was a devoted Grateful Dead fan.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Helen Higgins, and her siblings, Michael Higgins and Jacqueline Toth. She is survived by her soulmate of 41 years, George Tousey; her sons, Geordie Thomas Tousey and Garrett Michael Tousey and Garrett’s wife, Brett Huntley; and her nephew, Aaron and his wife, Shannon Higgins.
Lisa’s warmth, strength, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the gift of knowing and loving her. Family and friends are invited to remember Lisa at The Frisco Marina on June 13th from 2:00 -5:00pm.
