Paul Schmidt of Silverthorne dies

Paul Walter Schmidt, 71, of Silverthorne, died Monday, March 5, 2012. Paul is survived by his wife, Bonnie; four children, Todd, Robert, Zachary and Heidi; six grandchildren; and his brother Alan Schmidt.
Paul was a geologist, employed by the U.S. Geological Survey and worked from1963 to 1984 at the Denver Federal Center. From 1984 to 1994 he worked at the U.S. Geological Survey Mission in Saudi Arabia. He retired in 1995 in Silverthorne.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 11 at 4:30 p.m. at Dillon Community Church, 371 E. LaBonte, Dillon. Donations: contact (970) 485-9147.
