Summit County Community Center to host veterans’ lunch
The lunch at the Summit County Community and Senior Center is free for veterans
The Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco will be hosting a veterans’ lunch Thursday, Nov. 7.
The annual lunch is an opportunity for United States Armed Forces veterans to meet fellow veterans, family and friends, according to a news release. The lunch menu includes barbecue ribs, coleslaw, baked beans and a red, white and blue cake.
The event runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. but the release states that veterans are encouraged to come early to learn about veteran resources, including the Summit County Veterans Senior Officer, Volunteers of America representative, a realtor who helps veterans find homes and the Boulder Mobile Vet Center.
The lunch is free for veterans and $8 for community members. RSVP by visiting tinyurl.com/SummitVeteransLunch or calling 970-668-2940.
