Letter to the editor: Breck is letting its residents down on short-term rentals
Breckenridge

Breckenridge is letting its residents down by not enforcing their short-term rental restrictions.
There is a hotline to report violations and issues with short-term rental properties, but it is always busy. I ask that the town consider other ways for full-time residents to work with the short-term rental office so that everyone can enjoy Breckenridge in a safe way. Some suggestions: support callback numbers on the hotline or, like the county, allow for online complaint submission.
The amount of revenue the town is collecting from short-term rental permits has increased exponentially. With that, residents should be seeing better representation and support from their government.
