Letter to the editor: Let Copper Mountain fix its own traffic, congestion issues
Frisco
I just read the story about the Summit Stage and Summit County government goals to increase service.
It seems to me that a better use of resources — instead of getting buses stuck on Interstate 70 during the weekends — would be to provide some peak service during weekday mornings and afternoons on a workforce-oriented route. My guess is that the Breckenridge to Frisco route sees the highest during these hours. Of course, the stage has statistics to tell them which route would benefit the most from supplemental service during peak travel times.
Burning up bus mileage on our aging fleet to service Copper Mountain Resort should be low priority for our transit system. Let Copper Mountain run buses to manage its parking and traffic problems.
