Allie Leslie brings a diverse perspective to her role at Summit Daily News, which she joined in October 2024. Specializing in multimedia marketing, her passion is spotlighting local businesses by helping them get the recognition and attention they deserve through creative outreach avenues that showcase the heart of their brand.
Her educational journey highlights her commitment to creativity and experiential learning. She began her undergraduate studies in Wisconsin, earning a spot on the dean’s list while tackling the start of her bachelor of fine arts. During a break from her studies, Allie was selected to participate in the International Design Thinking Program in Panamá. She spent over three months living in a remote jungle valley, applying creative strategies to address real-world challenges in sustainability and community planning. At the conclusion, her team had the pleasure of collaborating with professional architects, blueprinting how a master plan could be implemented.
After completing her trip to Panamá, Allie decided to move to Colorado, inspired by a summer road trip in 2019. She spent three years working locally in Summit County, saving up enough to pursue the completion of her degree in graphic design at Colorado State University. While at CSU, Allie obtained a spot on the dean’s list and graduated with honors in May 2024. She gained hands-on experience through a graphic design internship with SpaceNav, an aerospace engineering company, and by working as a graphic designer for CSU’s Off-Campus Life program, which supported students with housing, food security and transportation resources.
In her free time, Allie enjoys planning or dreaming about travel, brainstorming ways to make a positive impact on the world and building her adventure elopement photography business.
