Kendal James

Kendal James is the advertising operations manager at the Summit Daily News, where he oversees advertising operations and partners with local businesses to create innovative, data-driven campaigns across digital and print platforms. He joined the team in 2025, bringing a background in design, software development and digital marketing.

Before joining the Summit Daily, Kendal built a multifaceted career in design and technology, contributing to projects ranging from mobile applications and enterprise software to a patent-pending camera strap — reflecting his blend of creativity and technical expertise.

Originally from North Carolina, Kendal competed as a semi-professional cyclist on international circuits before channeling that same drive into design and technology. When he’s not developing advertising solutions, he can be found snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing or exploring Summit County’s mountain landscapes with friends.
