Shelby Valicenti

Shelby Valicenti joined the Summit Daily in May 2023. She establishes and encourages best digital practices to ensure that the news and stories published at SummitDaily.com reach the most people possible.

She started with Swift Communications, which owns Summit Daily, in July 2019 at the Steamboat Pilot & Today, where she worked as a sports reporter, digital editor and assistant editor. She also serves as the digital engagement editor at the Vail Daily.

Originally from southern Vermont, she earned a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Boston University.

She’s won Colorado Press Association awards for column writing and graphic design and won a North Dakota Newspaper Association award for column writing.

When not working, she loves hiking and running and spending time with her husband Zach and their dog, Dallas.
