The Blue River Watershed Group will host a three-day event this weekend, complete with a launch party, cleanup day and post-cleanup party.

The Blue River Festival starts Friday, Sept. 5, at 5:30 p.m. with the launch party at the Patagonia store in Breckenridge. After a happy hour, speakers from the Nature Conservancy and Colorado Parks and Wildlife will give presentations, and the group will hold a silent auction.

Volunteers will spread out along the Blue River and its tributaries Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10-11:30 a.m. to pick up trash. They will receive a free lunch at the Frisco Marina at 11:45 a.m., and volunteering enters them in a prize drawing.

To close out the weekend, the group will host a volunteer party from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7. Volunteers will receive a free lunch and free beer and get to enjoy live music. The party will also feature a vendor village, fly casting and yoga classes, stand-up paddleboards and raffle drawings with prizes from Yeti, Patagonia and more.
