Breck Create’s winter art exhibition “Our River Flowing From Our Eyes” will open on Dec. 20 at the historic Old Masonic Hall and will run through March 16.

The exhibition features the work of artists Camille Hoffman and Gyun Hur, and explores themes of landscape, memory, grief and the relationship between humans and nature.

The two look to create an immersive experience delving into the history and beauty of Breckenridge’s natural surroundings using a variety of mediums including painting, vinyl collage, glass sculptures and water from the Blue River.

Hoffman and Hur drew inspiration from Mojave American poet Natalie Diaz’s “The First Water is The Body” and touches on the personal and histories of both artists as they reimagine the landscape and narratives tied to the local region.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. For more information, visit BreckCreate.org/exhibitions/Our-River-Flowing-From-Our-Eyes.
