Copper Mountain opens Three Bears, A-basin unveils half of its terrain and other resorts open all their lifts

Editor’s Note: Each Thursday throughout the winter, the Summit Daily News will provide a terrain update that will inform skiers and riders on what trails are open at resorts near Summit County before they head out to the slopes.
With more snow over the past week, local ski areas have been able to open more lifts and terrain. Here’s what’s new:
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area opens half of its terrain
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area now has 50% of its terrain open. Open areas include those around the Pallavicini Lift, The Beavers Lift and the Front Side. Additionally there are openings at West Woods, Dog Woods, Turbo, North Glade and more.
Copper Mountain Resort opens the Three Bears, Mountain Chief and Blackjack lifts
After opening terrain around Copper Bowl and Tucker Mountain last week, Copper Mountain Resort has now opened Three Bears lift. Three Bears opens up terrain including trails like Boulderado, Buffalo Stampede, Denverite, Ram’s Run, Summit Stash, The Springs, The Taco and Valentine’s. Mountain Chief and Blackjack lifts are also now spinning for the season, opening Copper Bowl terrain like Matchless, Six Shooter, Otto Bahn, Rattler, Colorado Boulevard and Alicante.
Loveland Ski Area opens all lifts
Loveland Ski Area plans to open Lift 2 opens back up in Friday, Feb. 27. Additionally, ski patrol is planning to open access to Tunnel Face as well, which will remain open as long as conditions allow.
Loveland’s Free Ridge Cat will begin operations March 7 and run seven days a week up until April 5. The offering is free for all lift ticket and season pass holders and is accessed via Lift 9.

Breckenridge Ski Resort opens all lifts
On Monday, Feb. 23, Breckenridge Resort opened the Imperial SuperChair for the season, which means all lifts are now open across the five peaks.
The provides access to Breck’s high-Alpine terrain and expansive Imperial Bowl riding. The resort also opened Serenity bowl on Peak 6 over the weekend.
Keystone Resort has 2,101 acres open
Keystone currently has 107 trails open with 2,101 acres. Senior communications specialist Emily Kowalenko said the team is continuing to maintain trails.
