Dillon arrests suspect on warrant for human trafficking charge out of Texas

A man with a warrant related to a felony charge of human trafficking out of El Paso, Texas, was arrested in Summit County, according to the Dillon Police Department.
Manuel Eduardo Torres Hernandez, 22, was arrested Jan. 17 on the human trafficking warrant and an assortment of other preliminary charges in Colorado, according to a Dillon Police Department news release issued Thursday, Jan. 23.
Five of the charges listed in the police document mention Dillon, including felony charges of false identifying information, identity theft, possession of a forged instrument and criminal impersonation along with a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a financial device. One charge listed mentions a warrant out of Kremmling related to a felony charge of false identifying information/criminal impersonation, the release states.
Manuel is currently in the Summit County Jail. Police say he was residing in Keystone.
The Silverthorne Police Department and Kremmling Police Department assisted in the case.
