First-ever Rockies Ramble mountain bike race set to roll into Frisco

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Friends of the Dillon Ranger District will be hosting the inaugural Rockies Ramble mountain bike race, which will raise funds to build and maintain Summit County trails.
The race was created by a group of Front Range residents who, according to a recent press release, wanted to “encourage mountain bikers of all abilities to test their mettle on an approachable course with limited elevation gain.”
The 5.5 mile relay race will take place on the Frisco Peninsula and will include trails like Excelsior, Queen of the West and Tip Top.
Racers can compete in teams of two or four with different divisions for men, women or co-ed racers. The race will begin at 8 a.m. and will be followed by an afterparty at Highside Brewing in Frisco.
