High Country Conservation Center and Summit County government are preparing to offer free pumpkin composting at the Breckenridge, Frisco and Silverthorne Recycling Centers. Residents should remove candles, lights, paint, glitter and any other decorations. Pumpkins can be dropped in the bins marked “pumpkin composting” from Saturday, October 25, through Sunday, November 16. Pumpkins will be turned into High Country Compost at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park. For details and a map of local recycling centers, visit HighCountryConservation.org
