Local environmental organizations to host Water in the West series

Andrew Maciejewski/Summit Daily News
This summer, the Water in the West event series will return to Summit County with three free events spotlighting critical water issues.
The series is being held in partnership with local environmental organizations. Each event focuses on a different water issue with a unique featured speaker.
The June 17th event, hosted by High Country Conservation Center, focuses on climate and water issues, while the Blue River Watershed Group’s July 22nd event will focus on water quality and volunteer stewardship in the Blue River Watershed. The final event is hosted by Friends of the Dillon Ranger District and focuses on forests and watersheds.
All three events will be hosted at the Highside Brewery in Frisco from 5:30-7 p.m. Food will be provided, and although RSVPs are not required, they are encouraged to assist organizers with planning.
RSVP information can be at TinyUrl.com/WaterWestSC.
