U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass closed around 6 a.m. between mile point 222 and Interstate 70 on Thursday, Feb. 26, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

A COTrip.org update states that the closure starts 3 miles east of Keystone and continues for 7 miles, to mile point 229, where U.S. 6 connects with I-70. It identifies the closure as a safety closure.
