After opening in mid-August, the Prospectors Marketplace in Frisco is currently for sale for what owners said is around $18 million.

Prospectors Marketplace representative Gene Gregory said The Kramer Group, which is affiliated with national real estate brokerage Marcus & Millichap, is listing the commercial component of the marketplace for around $13 million. The marketplace also includes about $5 million worth of condos, which Gregory said are being sold by Jeff Moore with Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate.

Gregory said Marcus & Millichap approached the owners of Prospectors Marketplace with a handful of investors they said were interested in property in the Summit and Eagle County areas. He said owners did not previously intend to list the property at this time.

Gregory said all the commercial spaces in the marketplace are leased. According to a Facebook post from the Prospectors Marketplace, current commercial offerings include: Chimayo Grill, Crepes A La Carte, Back to Texas BBQ, Fresh Press’d, Kanto x Wasabi, Lazos Empanadas, Chucky’s Burger, Summit Scoops and McCoy’s Watering Hole.

He said tenants signed a 5-year lease and that will stand if a sale occurs.

“The tenants aren’t going anywhere. … When you sell a building the leases always go with the building,” Gregory said.

The Summit Daily extended an interview opportunity to the Kramer Group, and Kramer Group industrial and data center advisor Maxwell Rist deferred to Gregory for information regarding the sale. He did provide a statement.

“It is rare to see a real estate investment that blends this level of positive community impact with strong financial performance, all in such a prime Main Street location,” he wrote in an email. “Prospectors Marketplace is a trophy asset positioned for exceptional returns and long term value appreciation.”

About the Prospectors Marketplace

The Prospectors Marketplace opened Friday, Aug. 15, at 310 Main St. in Frisco.

Primary owners of the Prospectors Marketplace, the Gregory and Blodig family, first started working in Summit County in the building industry in the 2000s. In an interview with the Summit Daily when the marketplace first opened, Gene Gregory said, on paper, his wife Denise Blodig and his son Lane Gregory are the owners.

Sarah “Taco” West, who won Best of Summit best bartender in 2023, was brought on as the manager and helped curate the marketplace with a mining theme. The ownership group runs McCoy’s Bar and an arcade on the second floor of the marketplace that has what Gregory said is around $200,000 of games.

Existing eateries like Crepes A La Cart, Chimayo Grill, Groovy’s Mac n’ Cheesy, Lazos Empanadas and Summit Scoops were among the marketplace’s first tenants. New introductions to Summit County like Back to Texas BBQ, Kanto x Wasabi, Chucky’s Burgers and Fresh Press’d were also the spot’s first tenants.

The Prospectors Marketplace has an open-seating concept where people can bring food from any of the restaurants anywhere on the property.
