Copper Mountain Resort reported a dusting on the top of its slopes Wednesday morning, Sept. 24, after a storm pushed through Colorado’s mountains Tuesday night.

“Cooler temperatures brought a fresh dusting of snow to the upper mountain, as well as the surrounding peaks of the Ten Mile Range. The fresh snow signals the start of winter on the horizon and sets the stage for an exciting season ahead,” said Molly Glandt, communications coordinator with the resort.

Other resorts in the area, and across the state, reported snow Tuesday, with Winter Park seeing measurable amounts of snowfall.

Just a few days into fall, snow fell on Copper Mountain and Colorado’s peaks.
