The fourth annual mid-winter pickleball tournament, Pickle in the Snowy Peaks, returns to Breckenridge March 7-8. All proceeds from the tournament benefit Smart Bellies, a local nonprofit that delivers kid-friendly food to families in Summit and Lake counties on weekends.
All athletes will play two rounds of four games each with various partners. No partner is needed to join the competition. Women play Saturday, March 7, while men and youth play Sunday, March 8. Courts are divided by skill level, including recreational, intermediate, and competitive. The top three female and male winners in each skill-level earn a prize. Spaces are available except in the women’s intermediate bracket, which currently has a waitlist.
Registration costs are $50. Interested athletes can sign-up at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pickle-in-the-snowy-peaks-registration-1976631855088?aff=oddtdtcreator. Games will be held at the Breckenridge Recreation Center.

The moose crossed a busy section of trail and under a lift, before disappearing into a more wooded portion of the mountain.
