Update: Majority of customers’ power restored following Friday morning outage in Silverthorne

12:54: Power was restored to most customers in Silverthorne and nearby areas around 1 p.m. on Friday, according to the Xcel Energy outage map. Around seven customers were still waiting for restoration in Silverthorne around 1 p.m., while 14 in Dillon and Keystone and 94 in the Dillon and Montezuma area remained without power.

11 a.m.: With restoration efforts underway, the power outage in Silverthorne Friday morning was impacting around 1,089 customers around 11 a.m., down from more than 4,000 earlier in the morning.

Original story: A power outage in Silverthorne was impacting roughly 4,047 customers in Dillon and Silverthorne on Friday, Oct. 3, around 10:30 a.m., according to Xcel Energy. The outage began at 9:19 a.m. and the estimated restoration time was 11 a.m.

A second outage in Montezuma was impacting approximately 42 customers Friday morning. That outage began around 10:30 a.m., and Xcel estimates that power will be restored around 12:30 p.m.
