Shelter in place order lifted for Gold Hill area

11:25 p.m.: Summit County Sheriff Jaime FitzSimons said emergency responders were investigating a suspected gas leak in the area of Gold Hill, but the stay in place order has been lifted after Red, White & Blue Fire Protection District didn’t find anything.
10:50 p.m.: A Summit County Alert has ordered residents near Gold Hill to shelter in place and for the public to stay away from the area of Colorado Highway 9 and Gateway Drive.
Requests to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office for additional information were not returned immediately.
