Silverthorne has been named a 2025 Colorado Creative District awardee by Colorado Creative Industries, a division of the State of Colorado’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade aimed at diversifying local economies. The designation marks the culmination of 10 years of the town’s community-wide efforts to support and enhance Silverthorne’s local creative arts.

In becoming an awardee, the town officially created the Silverthorne Creative District. As part of the program, the town is now eligible to receive financial support, resources, marketing support, signage and leadership training.

“Seeing how our community has embraced public art, including pieces throughout the town, Town events that integrate art at every turn, the addition of the Art Spot, artist showcases like Theatre SilCo and the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, and other art-focused initiatives throughout the year, is so impressive,” said Silverthorne Mayor Ann-Marie Sandquist in a recent press release.
