The election committee of the Summit County Education Association, an organization representing the interests of district staff members, has voted to recommend candidates Kim Dyer and Whitney Horner for the Summit School District Board of Education.

“Dyer and Horner demonstrate a desire to thoughtfully improve educational systems for all Summit students,” said Sam Mise, SCEA Election Committee chairperson and local teacher in a recent news release. “They comprehend the financial obstacles facing public education in Colorado and are motivated to recruit and retain highly qualified educators despite a national teacher shortage.” 

“Most importantly, Dyer and Horner display a willingness to hear from their constituents, critically analyze input, and problem-solve.” said Sam Mise. “We are excited to recommend these well-respected community members.”
