The American Library Association dubbed this year’s national Library Card Sign-up month theme as “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” and the Summit County libraries have been celebrating all September.

Before the month is over, visitors can sign up for a new card or bring their physical card to any of the county’s three libraries and receive free candy from the staff. Those who have lost their physical library cards can also get replacements, which normally cost $2.50, for free.

A Summit library card provides access to physical books, e-books, movies, online classes, the library of things — which includes camping gear, state park passes and more — and year-round programming, like reading challenges and author talks.
