Summit’s Amy Purdy launches sweepstakes to benefit Adaptive Action Sports

Summit County resident and three-time Paralympic medalist Amy Purdy is inviting fellow Summit County residents to participate in an exciting sweepstakes powered by Fandiem.

By donating to Adaptive Action Sports, a nonprofit organization based in Summit County, people have the opportunity to win a trip to Los Angeles for the Dancing with the Stars season finale — right alongside Purdy herself.

Purdy was famously paired with Derek Hough on season 18 of Dancing with the Stars. Purdy advanced all the way to the finale, where she finished as the runner-up behind Olympic ice dancer Meryl Davis and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

The opportunity will give one lucky winner the chance to sit next to Purdy, meet Hough backstage and experience the glamour of Dancing with the Stars up close — and more. All donations go directly to Adaptive Action Sports which helps empower youth, adults and veterans with permanent physical disabilities to engage in action sports and break through physical barriers.

Bonus gifts of $100-plus will receive an exclusive “Cha, Cha, Cha” t-shirt. Donations surpassing $150 will receive the t-shirt and a signed copy of Purdy’s book “On My Own Two Feet: From Losing My Legs to Learning the Dance of Life.”

Visit Fandiem.com/dwts to donate and for more information. The donation portal will remain open until Nov. 16. The Dancing with the Stars finale is set to take place on Nov. 26.
