U.S. Ski & Snowboard has officially announced the 16 athletes who will represent the United States at the 2026 FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships, set for March 7–15 in Narvik, Norway. Among the standout selections are Team Summit Colorado’s Stanley Buzek and Jevin Palmquist.
The junior world championship roster features a blend of athletes from the Stifel U.S. Ski Team’s B and C teams, Regional Development Teams and elite clubs across the country. The event serves as one of the most prestigious proving grounds for the next generation of American Alpine talent. Team Summit’s Stanley Buzek, a Silverthorne resident, returns to the junior world championship stage as a two-time medalist, having earned podium finishes in the team combined and team parallel events in previous years. Known for his technical strength in slalom, Buzek is expected to be one of the key athletes to watch in Narvik. Joining him is Jevin Palmquist from Eagan, Minnesota, another Team Summit athlete and rising star from the U.S. Ski Team’s Regional Development Team. Palmquist’s selection reflects both his strong performances this season and Team Summit’s continued reputation as a premier training ground for top junior athletes.
“This year’s Junior World Championship team showcases an outstanding group of athletes who have already demonstrated their potential with strong performances at the NorAm level and beyond,” said Chip Knight, Alpine development director of the Stifel U.S. Ski Team. “Blending valuable experience with emerging talent, this group is well-positioned to achieve meaningful individual results while contributing to a strong team effort for the U.S.” The United States has a rich legacy at the Junior World Championships, with many former medalists going on to achieve success on the World Cup circuit, including current Stifel U.S. Ski Team athletes Lauren Macuga, Paula Moltzan, River Radamus and Ryder Sarchett.
The Narvik 2026 schedule will include downhill, super-G, giant slalom, slalom and team events, with live timing provided by the International Ski Federation. For Team Summit Colorado, the selection of Buzek and Palmquist represents not only individual achievement but also the continued impact of the program’s commitment to athlete development at the national and international level.
