12:30 p.m.: Silverthorne officials confirmed the bear has left the area, and the Blue River Trail has been reopened.
Original story: The Blue River Trail is closed from Willow Grove Open Space to Silverthorne Town Hall due to bear activity in the area, according to an email from the town Thursday, July 31.
The town has blocked off the area, but setup a detour along Rainbow Drive to Center Circle.
In a recent news release, the town encourages people to observe animals from a safe distance.
