Upcoming event teaches residents about workforce housing ownership

Breckenridge and the Summit Combined Housing Authority will be hosting two public sessions to educate residents on the homebuying process for workforce housing. Both sessions are free and will be held at the Colorado Mountain College Breckenridge campus auditorium.

The first session on Monday, Oct. 27m from 6 to 7:30 p.m. will be held in Spanish, and the second session on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. will be held in English. Food and drinks will be provided for participants for both sessions.

The interactive sessions include a presentation covering workforce housing options in the county, types of loans and their requirements, the role of real estate agents and how to financially prepare to buy a home.



Along with the presentation, participants will receive planning information and handouts, housing staff and guest speakers available for specific questions, and the opportunity to schedule one-on-one appointments with Summit Combined Housing Authority staff members. Colorado Mountain College is located at 107 Denison Placer Road in Breckenridge.
