Interstate 70 reopens near Silverthorne following vehicle fire

5:00 p.m.: I-70 eastbound fully reopened.

4:45 p.m.: Eastbound traffic is moving again east of Silverthorne, however, two lanes are still closed as officials respond to and clear debris from a vehicle fire.

The closure stretched from Exit 205 at Silverthorne to Exit 216 at U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass. Travelers should expect delays due to the closure.

Summit Daily News has reached out to Colorado State Police for more information, but officials did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
