Letters to the editor: Visitors, irresponsible people pose great risk to Summit County
Breckenridge
Regarding the article in The Summit Daily concerning the vile graffiti depicting racist and antisemitic messages, I am writing to commend and applaud the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Lt. Mike Schilling, for responding so quickly and emphatically.
Speaking as a part time and hopefully soon to be full time Jewish resident of Breckenridge, I proudly chose to reside in the area because of the kindness, generosity and open mindedness of the community, which is reflected in the comments by Lt. Schilling —”This filth has no place in our community.”
This display of hate is beyond disturbing, and I urge others to make their voices heard to rise up against this isolated and hopefully one time incident.
